Cala Homes Taylor Wimpey
Register Maidenhill, Newton Mearns

Community is the beating heart of Maidenhill. From the green open space and extensive play and sports facilities, to the new primary school and community religious facility, Maidenhill is developing into a new residential hub within Newton Mearns with a strong character and real sense of place.

The community-led vision has integrated Maidenhill into the wider neighbourhood already, and CALA Homes, Miller Homes and Taylor Wimpey are strongly committed to working within the local area to truly put down roots.

As well as partnering up with East Renfrewshire Good Causes on a ‘roof donation’ scheme for the first phase of the build at Newton Mearns, the consortium of homebuilders has worked closely with the local network of schools and community groups nearby.

From time capsule planting, construction health and safety talks and donations of play equipment and items to set pupils up to get the best from their ‘daily mile’, engaging with local primary schools – has been a major priority since we broke ground on the site.

We’ve also worked with local history groups to ensure the development nods to the area’s heritage, and worked to get our residents involved in our community activity – by encouraging involvement with Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire to form ties amongst neighbours, and setting up festive toy donation stations for local children’s charities.

And we won’t stop there – keep an eye on our News page for more activity, or sign up for updates via our regular newsletter.
