Maidenhill vision is brought to life

The team behind Maidenhill has unwrapped its vision for the brand new landmark Newton Mearns community – in the form of a brand new website and video.

Maidenhill’s online launch comes as the team readies itself to start work on the new £150m development by homebuilders CALA Homes (West) and Taylor Wimpey West Scotland.

The new two-minute video brings to life the plans for the 834 new homes and the associated community benefits, as well as showcasing the wider Newton Mearns area.

The visionary website shares more details on the layout and green space that will form the basis of life in Maidenhill, bringing the milestone development to life for the very first time.

Prospective customers interested in finding out more about Maidenhill, and keen to follow its progress, can log on to www.maidenhill.scot to view the video, sign up for updates and read the most up-to-date developments.

Liana Canavan, Sales and Marketing Director for CALA Homes, said: “We are excited to bring the vision for Maidenhill to life through this brand new video – and to launch our website. This represents a pivotal point in the journey to making this fantastic new community a reality.”

Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, added: “Viewers will be able to see first-hand how the neighbourhood will be laid out, and find out more about the community benefits that come with the development of Maidenhill. We are also giving prospective buyers a first look at the wonderful wider community they could be part of.”

As Maidenhill progresses, a raft of benefits for the Newton Mearns community, courtesy of the multimillion pound investment by CALA Homes (West) and Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, will come into fruition. These include:

  • The creation of a range of properties from two-bedroom to five-bedroom homes.
  • Land and funding to facilitate the construction of Maidenhill Primary – a brand new non-denominational school offering 444 primary school places as well as 120 nursery places.
  • Multiple pockets of land to facilitate the delivery of affordable housing.
  • A multi-use games area (MUGA) and 3G pitch within the school, and available for use by the wider community.
  • Generous public open space throughout the development – equivalent to around 19 football pitches – including a linear green corridor and host of pocket parks.
  • A contribution towards local community halls, sports grounds, sports halls and centres, libraries and community health and care provision.
  • Contribution of land towards a community faith facility.
  • Additional contributions towards off-site road improvements at Mearns Cross and sustainable transport.
